Aminah Yoba is VisionSpring’s Development Officer. Prior to working with VisionSpring, she spent over a decade working with the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone as a Program Officer, supporting a variety of local arts organizations with securing funding from the public and private secure to implement a myriad of organizational development initiatives.
She spent the early part of her career working with two major film and video post-production houses First Edition Editorial and Post Expressions Inc., where she he held a variety of positions including that of a Post Production Manager, Business Manager and PR Associate.
Aminah has also worked as a Development Consultant for several nonprofit arts and educational organizations in NYC. She has served as a grant reviewer/panelist for key City and State funders—the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and NYS Council on the Arts.
Aminah attended C.U.N.Y. Brooklyn College, where she studied Communications and Film Production.
